Cade started Kindergarten this year. He now goes to school two FULL days a week and one Friday a month. He is also enrolled in their french immersion program which is really exciting. So far he is really enjoying school. Sometimes he is a little hesitant to go in the mornings but, he is always enthusiastic and excited when I pick him up at the end of the day.
His teacher, Mme. Annie says that he is adjusting really well. She also mentioned that he is very interested and excited to learn anything to do with the french language. So far, he can count to 5 in french and he uses a few other french words here and there. It is really amazing how the program works and exciting that he will be fluent in another language in a few years!
It has been quite the adjustment having him gone during school days. The house is so quiet and peaceful and I am able to get so much done. I think Remy feels a little lost though without her buddy. She is always very eager to go pick him up at the end of the day. I think we both miss him a lot!
As you can see, Cade was a little nervous on his first day. It was only an assembly that we both attended but he was nervous. He could barely function that first morning - he couldn't even eat. Once we got to the school some of the nerves wore off though and he was pretty excited.
After the assembly, we went to his classroom to check it out. Cade quickly found his coat hook which he was excited about.
This was Cade on his first official day of school. He was a little more excited this day. We dropped him off at school at 8:35am and picked him up at 3:15pm! It was a long day but, he loved it.
This is Cade's buddy Walker. I am so greatful that Walker is in Cade's class this year. It is nice for him to have someone that he knows and they seem to be great little buddies.
So far this year is going well. I really think Cade was ready to head off to school and it is nice for him to have something to look forward to a few times a week!

When did he get old enough to be in Kindergarden?! That is so neat he is in the french program. He is so handsome Chels! It would be weird and nice at the same time to have your kids gone most of the day, time goes so fast.
