A Party for a Princess

Remy will be 2 tomorrow.
We celebrated a day early.
It was the perfect day.

Remy all ready for church. She was so excited to wear her new dress.

Remy helping with the finishing touches for her party (she is helping Gma make the icing for her cupcakes)!

Waiting to blow out her candles. The family really got into the 'Happy Birthday' song this year. I think it caught Remy off guard a little.

Blowing out her candles. It took two tries but, she did it all on her own!

Daddy & Remy

Remy opening her presents. There were a mountain of them. She received lots of adorable clothes and fun toys. She loved opening the presents. After each one she would go pick out the next one.

Remy got some princess jewelry. She wanted to put it all on. She left it on for quite a while too. I love that she let us put on her crown with her birthday hat. She is such a character!

Remy & Cade also put on a concert for us. Cade on the piano and Remy on the mic. It was quite the performance. This piano was also a real hit. Both Remy and Cade loved it.

Remy ate her cupcake like a real lady. Actually, she licked all the icing off and left the cake part behind. I can't really blame her though. The icing was amazing!

To top off a great day Remy went out for a walk around the block. We forgot to bring her a jacket along so we had to get creative. One of Kensie's old sweaters did the trick. I love that she looks like a little orphan in this photo.

All in all, it was a great birthday party. It was so nice to spend the afternoon with family and just relax. I think Remy felt special all day.

Happy Birthday Remy!
