This past Sunday (November 27th) we blessed Reese at church.
She looked so sweet in her blessing dress.
(Of course the pretty flower in her hair and bracelet around her wrist helped with the cute-ness factor)
She was a little angel during her blessing which her Daddy gave her.
Grandma & Grandpa Howarth traveled to Okotoks for the blessing.
It was also their first opportunity to meet Reese.
I am pretty sure they fell in love with her just like we all have!
Remy & Cade were so thrilled to have their grandparents around.
They played their hearts out for 4-full days.
Thank you G&G Howarth for coming - it means a lot!
Reese sure is lucky to have these two fabulous ladies in her life.
They both love her to bits.
Grandma Nelson hosted a (late) American Thanksgiving Dinner for us all after the blessing.
It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
We were surrounded by family and lots of good food!
Calgary and area had the most powerful wind storm on Sunday.
So powerful, it knocked out all the power!
(Which makes cooking a thanksgiving dinner a little tricky)
We had to ship the meat, stuffing, cake and icing back to our place to be cooked.
A big thanks to Brian and Gpa Howarth for undertaking the task.
They did a great job and 'saved' thanksgiving!
Bryan & Tess also joined us for the blessing and dinner afterwards.
Since the winds were gusting so strong Bryan figured it would be the perfect day to fly a kite.
So, Cade and him ventured out into the storm to fly the kite.
The winds proved to actually be too strong but, they did manage to get it in the air a few times!
It was really fun to watch & Cade loved every minute!
We also celebrated Gpa Nelson's birthday after dinner.
The big 5-3!
He got a few presents, blew out a few candles, ate some carrot cake and didn't have to help with any dishes.
I'd say it was a successful birthday!
The whole day was filled with activity.
We all left my parents place full and exhausted.
It was a great day!
Thanks again to everyone who helped make Reese's blessing day so special!
